Anarchist History of New Zealand is advertisement-free but welcomes donations.

If you value this exploration of history please do contribute to help me know it’s appreciated.

There will never be New Zealand on Air funding or Marsden Fund grants or scholarships or Lotteries grants or Ministry of Education funding for an Anarchist’s telling of news and history. Nobody is forced to pay for anything you read here. These materials need to compete with writers and researchers who are backed by the taxpayer and political patronage. All the Anarchist can do is ask for your help because you want to give it rather than because someone will initiate force on you unless you comply.

It’s a moral boost, it’s the ability to pay for the hosting and domain name, and it makes more content possible (eg completing the sharing of Landmarks.) If I had more money I would use it to produce more AHNZ videos and podcasts. And, to explore more of New Zealand to find the history and tell it from angles no Statist historian could ever contemplate! One day, perhaps we’ll build an Anarchist History of New Zealand Museum.
