1927: Daylight Saving

The so-called “Waste of Daylight”. Who will “Save” it?
“Sunshine destroys germs and raises the vitality”
“..of one of his book keepers, “a capable fellow” who had been “wasting away” with an undiagnosed illness: “Poor fellow his life has been lived without sunshine. We buried him five months later”
Ridiculous emotive non-arguments. If you want more sunshine, get up earlier! Negotiate better working hours.
No need to pass a ridiculous law pretending to make the entire country travel through time! ‘Daylight Savings’ is Temporal Statism.
The above ‘arguments’ were presented back in 1912 to a few New Zealanders, a spin-off of the reforms back in Britain. However, it was not until 1927 that New Zealand politicians commanded obedience from the nation’s clocks.
I myself have nothing against time travel or make believe. Just don’t make me do it too, right?
