1930s: Nigger Brown

‘Nigger brown’ was a description of colour that came up recently in some 1930s history research. It got me thinking and led to this image.
Can I make a confession? I don’t think this is racist at all. I don’t believe these ancestors to our society were consciously or unconsciously discriminatory when they referred to this colour.
While mens rea is still a legal concept in 2019 it no longer holds cultural currency in our Victimhood Culture era. If someone labelled a ‘racist’ doesn’t share the same overreaction trigger as the person doing the name-calling they’re aid to be in “denial.” They’re the ‘unconscious racist’ or ‘institutional racist’.
Actually, I think our generation are the racist ones for being perceptive to there being any problem here at all. I think other anarchists understand this but it would take a fair bit of re-programming to unschool anyone else. To you I say…enjoy being shocked!
