Representing Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on May 29, 1953. The Conquest of Everest.
“Yō asambhava cha” really is Nepali for “It’s impossible”. I looked it up!
Great art, great nationalist propaganda, too un-PC to show today. Very enjoyable marketing mythology using patriotism to sell us breakfast cereal in the early 1990s. “Kiwi Kids are Weetbix Kids”.
Part of my early Red Pill Anarchism stirred years ago, though, when visiting Australia I found the same marketing campaign running. But! But, the slogan was “Aussie Keeds, are Weeetbix Keeds…”! That hit me for a six.
“Where I come from Sherpa Tenzing there’s no such word as asambhava!!”
Christchurch shop, A Little Bit of Britain, have been in the news this week for finally coming to terms with Weetbix.
